Meeting Dates for 2025 to 2026

The forthcoming dates, times and venue for the Parish Council Meetings 2025 – 2026

Please note these meetings will be held in the Village Hall usually on the first Wednesday of the Month. There are no scheduled meetings in August or December.


Wednesday 4th June 2025;
Wednesday 2nd July 2025;
Wednesday 3rd September 2025;
Wednesday 1st October 2025;

Wednesday 5th November 2025;
Wednesday 3rd December 2025;
Wednesday 4th February 2026;
Wednesday 4th March 2026;
Wednesday 1st April 2026;
Wednesday 6th May 2026 - starting at 7 pm with the Open Meeting followed by the Annual General Meeting at 7.30 pm (This is earlier due to the Open Meeting being followed by the AGM).

Fishing Permits for Lazonby

 

Please be aware that this is a single bank fishery.   At a single bank fishery you should only wade to the mid line of the river and not beyond. 

 

Furthermore, please be mindful of other people using the river and the river banks.

 

Under 18's need to be accompined by an Adult at all times whilst fishing.

A Rod Licence is required for everyone over 12 years old.

Fishing Seasons


Salmon: 14th January – 17th October
Trout : 15th March – 30th September
Coarse “open” : 16th June – 14th March


NO GROUND-BAITING AT ANY TIME
Permit Charges UNDER 16’s ARE FREE
Season Tickets Are Available on an ANNUAL BASIS

All Fish Species
Annual Season Tickets £270
£15 per day and £50 per week
Over 65 £12 per day, £40 per week, Annual Season Ticket £220

Trout and Coarse Fish
Annual Season Tickets £220
£12 per day and £40 per week
Over 65 £10 per day, £35 per week,
Annual Season Ticket £180

Evening Fishing (6.30pm – 10pm)
£7 per evening
Over 65 - £5

Winter Fishing (Coarse) Sept 14th – March 14th
£7 per day
Over 65 - £5

Anglers, who live outside the Parish of Lazonby, wishing to fish the river Eden along the stretch between the bridge to the North and the notice board which states "Lazonby Parish Upstream Fishing Limits", approximately 1 mile upstream to the South, must be in possession of a valid fishing permit issued by the Parish Council.
